This privacy policy describes how Lumière Hospitality Inc. ("Lumière", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information We Collect
We collect information from two groups: restaurant subscribers (operators) and restaurant guests (end diners).
From restaurant subscribers, we collect: name, email address, phone number, restaurant name and address, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store raw card data), and platform usage data.
From restaurant guests, we collect: name, email address, phone number, reservation details (date, time, party size), dietary notes and preferences (as entered by restaurant staff), and visit history. This information is collected on behalf of and at the direction of the subscribing restaurant.
How We Use Information
Subscriber information is used to provide, operate, and improve the Lumière platform, process payments, and communicate about your account. Guest information collected through the platform is used exclusively to power the restaurant's guest management and reservation functions. We do not use guest data for any purpose beyond the restaurant's own operations.
Guest Data Ownership
Guest data belongs to the restaurant, not to Lumière. We do not cross-market guest data between restaurants, share it with third-party marketers, or use it to advertise. When a restaurant's subscription ends, they may export their guest data in full before their account closes.
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted in secured data centres. We conduct regular security reviews and maintain access controls that limit who within our team can access subscriber and guest data.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information at any time. Restaurant subscribers may export their account and guest data from their account settings. To exercise any privacy right, contact us at privacy@lumieredining.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
